Mr. Asif Iqbal Kakkassery (JRF in Department of Earth and Space Sciences) was selected for the best oral presentation award for the paper titled ‘Implications for fluvial and glacial processes from Eos Chaos region of Valles Marineris, Mars’ in the 2nd International conference on Geology: Emerging Methods and Applications (GEM-2019) organized by the Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences, Christ College, Irinjalakkuda, Kerala and sponsored by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Ministry of Earth Science (MoES) and National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) during 17th to 19th January 2019. He is working under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh V.J. (Associate Professor, Department of Earth and Space Sciences) on ISRO funded Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM-1) AO project
