A two-week workshop on Space Operations and Spatial Technology Course is being conducted at IIST for defence personnel from June 16 to June 27, 2025, in collaboration with various ISRO centres.

The objective of the course is to equip defence personnel with essential technical knowledge to meet emerging technological demands. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Spacecraft engineering and satellite mission design, combining classroom sessions with hands-on experiences through lab visits at IIST, LPSC, and VSSC. Eminent resource persons from IIST, URSC, VSSC, ISTRAC, and IISU are contributing to the course delivery.
